Originally published in 1991 by St. Martin's Press, New York.

The legend of the werewolf is as old as man himself. From Ed and Lorraine Warren, the world's most famous demonologists, comes perhaps their most incredible and horrifying case: the true story of William Ramsey, whose bizarre seizures terrified the English town of Southend-on-Sea. Believing Ramsey to be a victim of demonic possession, the Warrens arranged for the rite of exorcism to be performed. Not since The Exorcist shocked the nation has there been such such a horrifying account of a supernatural battle between good and evil within the soul of one human.

finished it last night and it was interesting what took place and when and how this poor guy tried to keep it down., but for the faith of his wife and love for him they both achieved success because of the warrens.,

Gripping story from start to finish. Would recommend. Easy read and to the point. Well written and not too over the top

Heap of nonsense. There is no documentation of possession, we are simply supposed to take the word of these charlatans. There is absolutely nothing that says this is demon possession, rather than, say, mental illness or simply a violent nature, other than the word of the Warrens. I'm sorry, but this self-aggrandizing, unconvincing rubbish is just that - rubbish.

I've studied possession for many years, my office at home still has many of my files on demonic possession and demonic hauntings plus the transcripts to many of them. This case is certainly well known, one thing with the demonic is that anything is possible! This case has ALL the hallmarks of a genuine possession, the book is well written and to the point, and with the internet now in all people's hands you can now investigate this story much further. As with all the Warren books, they are there to teach and show the world that demonic possession is a real phenomena, a phenomena that is becoming an epidemic worldwide. This is a story many will be sceptical of, however... once you have read this case all will become clear.

I bought this after learning about the Warren's for many years.I had no clue they also helped people in the UK. This case I was skeptical of .I read it though and it's fascinating. What this poor man went through. I glad he managed to finally get help. I read this in a week. I couldn't put it down.
